I found a tutorial for this….isn’t it darling?? One more thing we can make our little girlies for back to school.
Fun Stuff Monday….
This weekend was busy with family stuff, hanging out- cooking- eating-cleaning. You know, the FUN stuff!! It is rarely dull around here when we all get together!! 🙂
We had a lot of this going on:
That led to these being made:
And OH MY- these were good! (carrot cake cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting!)

I swear…they were GOOD! 🙂
Of course us girls couldn’t get away without a little crafting on the side…..
So a few of these were made:
We just had a blast making them…..we used the fabric covered button kits, and made hair ties and clips out of them! (for back to school, of course!) We will do a whole write up tutorial on them later and show you just how fun and easy they are to do!! I can’t wait to make more!
Found some AWESOME vintage sheets…. Now we are trying to decide what to make….Skirts-shirts-quilts- Decisions, decisions!! 🙂 Any ideas? Please sharee. {we like sharing} 🙂
Oh, and one more WIP. (yes, I know….I have quite a few of those) I am so excited about it though….It is going to be amazing.

Do you understand now what I mean?!!? Is this NOT the coolest picture frame!?!? Oooh, I had so many ideas for it….I have settled on what I am going to do….now to finish it!
This week, I swear, I will have it ready to show you. 🙂
SO, how was your weekend? Did you fill it up like crazy, or did you just hang out and relax? DO you have a million WIP’s (like me) or are you keeping up with your stuff!??! I’d love to know…..let’s discuss!
Happy Monday!
Sleeping like a princess!

Phoebe has been very excited this week 🙂 She just got a new nightgown made from Ponies & Princesses from David Textiles!
We picked up this fabric from the
Missouri Star Quilt Co.
about a month ago and finally got around to making
this adorable nightgown of my own design.
We pleated the neckline in the front and back

With a simple button closure and a great comfortable shape

This is a perfect little nightgown for any little girl.
Here’s my debate, I’m working on several patterns, should this be one of them?
Tell me what you think is it worth patterning?
I think the kitty likes 🙂 It gets him a little extra happiness & play time!
I think it’s pretty cute. I love the scoop neckline and little gathered sleeves. And Phoebe let me french braid her hair to take pictures in it so I’m thinking it’s like a little magic secret weapon!
“Come on honey, let’s put on your pretty castles and unicorn nightgown and put your hair in pretty braids!” Then it’s all smiles and happiness right! 🙂
Hehe, we’ll see how that theory holds up!
Birthday….
Yup….It’s true. I am getting older. (and older and older.)
I had a lovely day though. Yesterday, Mom told me to take the day off and do something. So, I went shopping with a good friend of mine. It was so nice to get out. It was a lovely day.
When I got home my kids had decorated the driveway (with side walk chalk) and decorated the inside of the house!! It was darling! They were so proud of the work they did, and couldn’t wait to show me!

We had a lovely night with balloon fights and cake!
Then I had a big surprise when I got the mail and received this from Hillary {from Designing Happy}
I LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE it! Seriously, the cutest thing ever!!!

Just check out all the details. She wrote on it, {cause it’s a post card} and mailed it just like that. I am going to put a sticky magnet on the back of it and put it on my fridge!
Thank you so much Hill! I love it! You totally made my day.
Also, a BIG thank you to all of you ladies, that came in to the Shop to wish me well and the phone calls! You are the best!
Progress….
I said I’d work on it and BY-GOLLY I did!! I spent Tuesday afternoon sewing the rest of the nine patches together, and then cut them up. I have laid it out several times………trying to find the perfect balance, you know.
I am so excited though, to be this close to finishing it up. My Katie (who this is for) has been ever so patient waiting for this quilt.
Let’s be honest here though, if you had asked me a year ago if I would ever be making my daughter a quilt, I would have laughed in your face!! 🙂 It is true what they say about that quilting ‘bug’. It is a very contagious disease, and I am infected!! 🙂 heheheh!!
If it wasn’t for those precious pre-cuts though, I think I might still be afraid of quilting!! 🙂
Here is my progress as it is right now….

If the day goes as planned, i will have this baby put together! Then I will be back here asking opinions about borders and quilting! 🙂
In case you are wondering….I used Sweet, by Urban Chicks (Moda) charm packs.
What are you working on??
