In the olden days, tumbler quilts were often made with scraps gathered from friends and neighbors. A bit of paisley from Aunt Maude. A stripe or two from Granny. A pretty toile from Jane next door.
For this month’s Triple Play tutorial, Jenny and the girls are whipping up 3 new tumbler quilt patterns. They’re using layer cakes, charm packs, strip sets, and four patches to create tumblers like you’ve never seen!
Ahhhh-MAZING! I have so many fun, quilts to show you! I have been bombarded by emails showing off your great work! I am having trouble narrowing down which ones to show now and which ones to save! 🙂 What a great problem to have, huh! (if you don’t see your quilt up yet, just wait! It’s coming!)
This first one is made with a Hoopla Layer cake and Jelly roll! One of TEN, Rita from Kansas is making for her grand-kids!!
Now, I feel like I may be in a ‘Beautiful-Quilt Coma’ ahhh, such a perfect thing for a Monday! I feel so much better already, don’t you!?
Thanks to all the quilters for sharing their beautiful work with us!! We are so grateful for the visual feast! (wow, am I looking forward to Thanksgiving, or what??)
Our Friend Shirley emailed Mom {Jenny} these beautiful pictures of the quilts she’s been busy sewing!
Take a look at her amazing work!
We have been spoiled by Shirley and her amazing work! I so appreciate that you all take the time to send me your pictures so we can all enjoy what you’ve been sewing! I really can’t think of anything more enjoyable than Show and tell!!
Just so you know, the kids all made it to school with very little trauma! (I was even able to hold off tears, if you can believe that!) It is strangely quiet at my house today, and I am hoping for some major productivity! I even plan on baking some cookies made for the kids! Hope you are all having a great week! I’m looking forward to the weekend, ready for anything!! 🙂

PS. So sorry to those who have had or are still having Internet issues. We have been unable to find a reason for them. Every test that can be run has been, and everything checks out. We will continue to search for answers and we apologize for the inconvenience you may have experienced!
Oh BOY! I had grand plans for last week! And a lot of things happened, just not anything I had planned!
Funny how that happens….almost all the time! 🙂 hahah!
First of all, we were under-staffed for the first part of the week, with vacations overlapping and some extra orders to process! 🙂 Luckily, I was there (at the shop) and got to help out! I just love being there and being able to help! (I sometimes have withdrawals! it’s hard being so far away!)
So it all worked out, and I’m glad for the way it did. Once Wednesday came around, we were back to normal and I still had lots to do! I got a call….you know, the dreaded ‘phone call’….the one where they say your son was doing a back-flip on the trampoline and fell off. they say he’s fine, but limping and probably should have his foot checked out. Darn, so off I went to pick him up and find a doctor! 🙂 Actually, it all turned out well. He didn’t break anything, but deeply bruised his foot and has to stay off of it for the week!! Ahhh, so much better than a cast. I won’t lie and say that I wasn’t absolutely freaking out, inside! School is starting this week, he starts soccer this week too and we still have our family vacation to go on!! So, really we got very lucky! He is even able to walk (with a limp) on it now, which is a huge improvement!
I really didn’t get to all that I had planned, but still I had a successful-happy-at least we are all healthy- week!
Life really is what you make of it, isn’t it?
I’m choosing to be happy. {this week, hahahaha} What are you choosing?
