Wednesday-DIY Wreath!

Wednesday-DIY Wreath!

Happy Spring!  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week.  I know, I know, I am so spoiled.  :)  It is always amazing to me how the weather can totally alter my mood.  {and my neighbors mood-my kids mood-my husbands mood- you get the idea}

Anyway-  I figured since the last wreath I did was for Valentines Day and it was still hanging on my front door, I should do a little something-something for spring.

I’ve seen some really cute wreaths out there already, so I just had to try something  myself.  I started with a plain grapevine wreath (you probably have one in your old box of seasonal decorations already.  I had to buy one at Michael’s for $4) and then I bought a bag of moss.

I made some rolled fabric- flowers and used a hot glue gun and this is what I came up with!!  There are a million and one tutorials on how to make the flowers, so I won’t do that.   But, here is a tutorial for the flowers if you’d like to make them.  I just LOVE rolled flowers, ask my sister. I am mildly obsessed.  I love them on headbands and pins and hair clips and purses and on and on.  Anyway, I do want to add a bit more to it, but I’m happy with it for now!

I feel better just sprucing up my front door!  I am just dying to plant some flowers, and start a garden.  A little early I know.  So I’ll stick with the fabric flowers a little while longer.

What are you doing to put some ‘Spring’ in your step?  I’d love to hear about it!

    Hahah! I KNOW Sharon. It’s hard to keep up, huh! Hahaha, all the time changes and season changes, enough to make me crazy! :) A little more embellishing and I think this one can stay for quite a while! :)

    I’d love to see what you come up with Elisabeth! It is way easy. I need to add a bit more to it, but I really like the way it turned out!

    I’m starting a “Winnie the Pooh” baby quilt and every time I look at the fabric I want to go off to the 100 acre wood. I’d like to hide behind a tree and watch Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore enjoying spring-time weather. Love that woodsy smell, the clean air, cool fresh breeze, and the warm sun on my head.

    I also went for a walk to Buckingham Palace and snapped lots of pictures of the beautiful flowers that are springing up all over the city. I have never seem so many Daffodils!!!!!
