You know what they say, when it rains it pours! Well the same is true with media coverage! We have been so blessed to have some wonderful stories done on us these last few months, and once we got the restaurants open and doing more work on main street, we got a call from MSNBC’s “Main Street USA” asking if they could come talk to us about what is happening in our town. It was a lot of fun to show off all the other businesses in town and our approach for helping Hamilton Missouri’s economy grow.

Behind the Scenes at Missouri Star: Meet Sara
Hi quilting friends! Today we want you to meet Sara. She works in shipping:
She’s so nice!! and always has a smile on her face. When I asked her what her favorite things were she said, “Margaritas and getting caught in the rain.” She also loves the fabric selection at MSQC (who doesn’t, right?!) 😉 She left her old favorite fabric for Boho by Urban Chiks for Moda. She also mentioned in passing that she has never made a quilt in her life! BUT she just got her first sewing machine three months ago. So what kind of quilt do you suggest Sara try as a first time quilter? We would love to hear!
Behind the Scenes at Missouri Star: Meet our Employees
We thought it would be fun for you to meet our employees! So, say, “Hello” to Ammon. He’s our Warehouse Manager.
His favorite things are his wife, his kids, junk food, Dr. Pepper, and movies (oh, and his job at MSQC!). Ammon was born in British Columbia and has lived in Missouri for 30 years. We love having him work for us! Let us know; what do you want to know about our employees?
Continued Progress on the Retreat Center at Missouri Star
Our construction family has been busy this week getting our sleep and sew retreat center ready for you!
Things are getting painted, the wood floor is being acclimated to the room downstairs, and we have carpet being installed! So exciting! This place is just itching to have you come visit!
Meanwhile across the street…
A few things are going on in this building:
Insulation done, and Sheetrock going up. Don’t you love those old tin ceiling tiles? Can’t wait to show you more!
*To answer some previously asked questions, there is not an elevator in the retreat center 🙁 There are two rooms downstairs, but the rest are upstairs. The downstairs will be used for classes, etc.
