Knee deep…

in back to school stuff over here!  One week till the Heavens open the school bells ring.  We are making sure we have all of the supplies we need, and even a few extras.  We have all the latest fashions bought up and ready to be worn on the first day of school.  (anyone else out there that shudders at the clothes that are out now??)  Neon, converse and skinny jeans?  Really?  I know I am outing myself as an OLD un-cool person, but I just can’t believe that my kids are into the same stuff I liked waaaay back when.

We are gonna work on some fun, cute teacher presents this week….so stay tuned.

The Statler Stitcher…

is getting a workout!  Mom has been crazy busy cranking out the quilts. Everyday we are grateful for the ‘work horse’ of a quilt machine that we got.  We LOVE our long arm!

Mom was able to attend a ‘Statler Stitcher support group’ and LOVED it. (Sibs)

She met some wonderful ladies, enjoyed their company and even learned some new tricks.

New fabric….

Oh yeah!  You know I love the sound of the Brown Santa’s (ups guy) truck brakes screeching to a stop in front of the shop!  I get oh-so excited when he carries in large boxes…..and this just happens to be some fabric I have been waiting forever for.  (well, probably not forever, but it felt like it.  ha!)

Here it is, the cute, the adorable, amazing ‘Be Merry’ line designed by My Mind’s eye. (from Riley Blake)    Wow!  I love it.  I have BIG plans for this stuff.

Fun Stuff Monday….

This weekend was busy with family stuff, hanging out- cooking- eating-cleaning.  You know, the FUN stuff!!  It is rarely dull around here when we all get together!!  🙂

And OH MY- these were good!  (carrot cake cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting!)

Of course us girls couldn’t get away without a little crafting on the side…..

So a few of these were made:

ctjhvjhg1We just had a blast making them…..we used the fabric covered button kits, and made hair ties and clips out of them!  (for back to school, of course!)  We will do a whole write up tutorial on them later and show you just how fun and easy they are to do!!  I can’t wait to make more!

img_8452 Found some AWESOME vintage sheets….  Now we are trying to decide what to make….Skirts-shirts-quilts-  Decisions, decisions!!  🙂  Any ideas?  Please sharee.  {we like sharing}  🙂

Oh, and one more WIP.  (yes, I know….I have quite a few of those)  I am so excited about it though….It is going to be amazing.

Do you understand now what I mean?!!?  Is this NOT the coolest picture frame!?!?  Oooh, I had so many ideas for it….I have settled on what I am going to do….now to finish it!
