Introducing Quilter’s Cash

Howdy Quilter’s! It is with great pleasure and excitement that we introduce a program that has been long in the works. Drum roll please …

Ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, I am pleased to announce Quilter’s Cash!

So let’s get right down to the nitty gritty. Quilter’s Cash is MSQC’s way of saying “thank you” for being a loyal customer. Up until now, shopping with us meant great deals, awesome shipping rates and fun times, but Quilter’s Cash means all of that PLUS amazing rewards for shopping with us!

What is Quilter’s Cash?

  • You earn Quilter’s Cash on every item (including the Daily Deal) you purchase online at our shop.
  • You can redeem Quilter’s Cash on any item in the shop.
  • Just like real cash, 1 point = 1 cent. So if a purchase earns you 417 points, you have earned $4.17 cents in Quilter’s Cash.

How specifically is Quilter’s Cash earned?

  • Every item (except for the Daily Deal) will earn you 3% of the purchase price in Quilter’s Cash.
  • Daily Deals will earn you 1% back in Quilter’s Cash.
  • Many items will have bonus points on them, meaning you will get the usual 3% PLUS additional Quilter’s Cash!
  • Even though you don’t need to log in to buy products on our site (you can do it as a guest), you WILL need to log in to both earn and redeem points.

A simple rewards program with few restrictions:

  • Unlike many other rewards programs, there is no minimum point balance required to redeem; you can use your Quilter’s Cash on your very next order no matter how small or large your points balance is.
  • It’s called Quilter’s Cash because we actually treat it like cash. You can spend it on whatever products you want, even daily deals.  Quilter’s Cash, however, cannot be used against shipping costs. The normal $5 flat shipping rate, or free shipping on orders over $100 applies (as well as Canadian and International shipping rates).
  • Since every point is worth a cent, it’s super easy to figure out how much Quilter’s Cash you have, unlike some rewards programs where you practically need a PhD to figure out how much your points are actually worth!

How to use your reward points:

  • On the Shopping Cart page you can slide the bar in the “Spend Your Points” section (you must be logged in to do this) to choose how many of your points you would like to spend (you will obviously not have any points until you make your first purchase, so you may not see this right away).
  • Once you’ve made your selection, you will see that the points have been applied in the in box to the right as a “discount” on your order. You may use your points to reduce your order cost. If you reduce your cost right down to $0.00,  any remaining unused points will be yours to use on future orders 🙂
  • Next proceed to Check Out and pay the applicable shipping.
  • To check your points balance at any time you must first log in.  Once logged in, at the top right corner of any of any shopping page click on “My Account”.  Along the right hand column under the “My Account” section, click on “My Points and Rewards”.  Here you will find your Quilter’s Cash balance further detail on how you have earned and redeemed points.

And that’s all she wrote folks. It’s as easy and simple as that. Again, we’d like to thank all of you for your continual support of our shop.  Enjoy the rewards of your loyalty.  Happy Quilting!

Hi Jenny, you are phenomenally charasmatic. I could watch your youtube videos all day! You make quilting look happier than a birthday party. You always put me in a good mood. I want to run to the sewing machine when I see you sew.
My 14 year old granddaughter made your tea towel apron on her own just following along with your youtube tutorial. Her first independent project. And so practical! MSQC is AWESOME!

  • JenniferMSQC

Best compliment ever “You make quilting look happier than a birthday party”. Love it so much and sharing your sweet words with Jenny. Be sure to share a pic of your granddaughter’s apron – we’d love to see it! Thanks!

Hi I guess I am asking the same question as the others about delaying shipping and shipping everything at once. Could it be possible to purchase the dd pay for it for a week or two at a time and then only pay the shipping once? I know many times I have passed up the dd because it did not make sense to pay the $5 for shipping for an item that cost less.

I must agree with my Canadian counterparts. I love MSQC and I would buy the daily deal…and more if I could ‘save them up’. I would not have difficulty ‘committing’ to the purchase of each daily deal for two weeks and then having the orders arrive, with the addition of the regular price items that I would add. It would be like a really special ‘surprise bag” (do you have surprise bags at toy and candy stores in Missouri? 🙂
That being said I must say I am grateful for the flat rate shipping to Canada. I’ve made my first order. It was shipped in a timely manner and I look forward to receiving it.
Also…the tutorials are amazing. Jenny is so natural in front of camera, the tutorials are so clear and fun. I almost feel as if she is my friend without ever meeting her 🙂

I have a question on using the bonus points. Why when one uses the points on a purchase, the points earned on that purchase goes down? I was under the impression that points were received per purchased item, to be saved towards the next purchase . However, I have noticed that my purchase points on the current item will go down IF I apply some of my saved points. ???

  • Hi Sue, that’s a good question! The amount of quilter’s cash earned is based on the purchase price, so when you apply saved quilter’s cash, it makes the price of the product go down. I hope that answers your question! If you still have questions, this may help: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/content/quilters-cash

Hey gals, that is why the DAILY deal is one day! The shipping is only $5.00. So where can you get a great brand of fabric charm pack for only $5.77? Thanks for the great daily deals and super tutorials! Linda C.

I love all things MSQC! I like it that there are suggested patterns & tutorials that work with the Deals of the Day. Jenny’s tutorials are fabulous. My only suggestion would be a site we could go to to look at quilt blocks before we go to the tutorial. I usually remember what the block looks like rather than the name of the block. Can’t wait to visit your shops in person!

  • Connie Kapferer

I love the tutorials and the fabric is really beautiful. We don’t have a quilt store in my area, so ” Missouri Star Quilt Store ” has become my store. The Christmas fabric by Robert Kaufman ” Holiday Flourish ” Charm Square is awesome, everyone in my quilt group ask me where I got such beautiful fabric. I tell them about your store. Thanks for being there for us !!!

  • Jerri

I noticed this too and given your answer this really isn’t a reward. The point of a reward is to get something extra and your penalizing us by us buying by reducing the points. When I get my rewards coupon from Soma or Kohls it just takes off the amount it doesn’t change my earnings. I think you should rethink your policy. I buy quite a bit from you and I know from seeing comments that others do. It’s like the complaints on the daily deal. Sure you discounted but if I just get it buy the time you add postage I’ve nearly paid full price which isn’t fair and doesn’t make it special deal. Reading some of these comments have me rethinking buying from you guys. Feels like we’re being taken for a ride. I know you could mail the patterns for lot less than $5 and I would love to buy just the pattern I want to make but then my cost is outrageous for that small pamphlet so I don’t get and attempt at guessing my material and end up with enough for several quilts or not enough. Can’t you digitize more patterns so the price is more reasonable.

I too would really love to know if there is any way at all that you could get round this and help us international buyers to take advantage of the daily deals. Maybe have an account where we can buy up to a months worth of daily deals and pay for the daily deal each day we choose one, then save them all together so that at the end of the month we can pay one shipping payment to have the deals we have purchased that month sent to us. I have just joined today after watching a ladies video log of a visit she made with two friends to your wonderful town and all the quilt shops. I am from the UK and I follow you on YouTube and am always trying out things you demonstrate online. I would really love to be able too take advantage of these daily deals too. But posting one at a time would be so not worth it. But as I say, if I could pay for the deal as I chose it each day, and then once a month, pay the shipping for the deals I had bought that month, it would be so much more beneficial. I guarantee that there would be many many people that would take advantage of this. It’s so frustrating that I am in the UK.

    I second that! 🙂

Jenny, I noticed on your tutorial using 10″ layer cake squares, your material doesnt have the pinked edges?
Could you explain how we then should measure and cut our material since our layer cakes edges are pinked?

    Thank you

I cannot order from my phone. I always have to call in. My question is do I get the bonus points/quilters cash the same as if I were on-line?
