In Love with New Fabric at Missouri Star Quilt Co

I’m in love with fabric. It’s not really a secret either, and I don’t intend on changing. I’m just going to keep on loving it.

We have some new cuties in the shop…and by cuties, I mean fabric. But our employees are cute too, so it’s a win-win. Last Fabric Friday we saw the new Camp-A-Lot line and someone must have liked it (we hoped all of you did!), because Monday morning this is what I saw:

We also have this bit of goodness:

Love! What is your favorite eye-candy of the moment?

Behind the Scenes at Missouri Star: Customer Service FAQs

This is Lindsey. She is one of our awesome ladies in the customer service department. She has never sewn in her life, but she just got this super darling, vintage sewing machine from her grandma. We had to show them off! They look great together 😉

Speaking of customer service, the ladies in the department (Lindsey, Andrea, Jean, Becky, and Simone–don’t worry, you’ll meet them later) are sharing their secrets with us! (oooooh!)

The first secret is that changes have been made in the checkout system. If you need to remove an item from your cart (sad face) an “X” will appear above the item. Just click on that “X” and the item will be removed. Easy peasy!

Secondly, quilter’s cash prints have been moved to the last page of the checkout process. You will find this on the “Review Order” page on the right side of the page. Don’t worry, the slider bar still works the same as it always has!

For our new friends (hello, by the way!) the Daily Deal is limited to one per customer, but daily and weekly specials are unlimited!

These awesome ladies do their best to call everyone that leaves a voice-mail back on the same day, but sometimes it may take a day or two depending on the amount of calls they receive.

You can find answers to more FAQs here!

Behind the Scenes at Missouri Star: Meet our Employees

We thought it would be fun for you to meet our employees! So, say, “Hello” to Ammon. He’s our Warehouse Manager.

His favorite things are his wife, his kids, junk food, Dr. Pepper, and movies (oh, and his job at MSQC!). Ammon was born in British Columbia and has lived in Missouri for 30 years. We love having him work for us! Let us know; what do you want to know about our employees?

Continued Progress on the Retreat Center at Missouri Star

Insulation done, and Sheetrock going up. Don’t you love those old tin ceiling tiles? Can’t wait to show you more!

*To answer some previously asked questions, there is not an elevator in the retreat center 🙁 There are two rooms downstairs, but the rest are upstairs. The downstairs will be used for classes, etc.

It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas at Missouri Star Quilt Co

But seriously, it is. Is it too early?? It’s never too early to start planning Christmas! I’m one of those people who shops for Christmas gifts through the entire year. I’m also one of those people who sometimes spoils the occasional gift by accidentally announcing, “I bought you this really cute skirt today for Christmas!” Oops.

Anyway, we’ve got our Christmas fabrics up in the shop and up online!
