Star Patch Quilt

What makes a sunset so special? I mean, every single night – just like clockwork – that same ‘ole sun sinks below the same ‘ole horizon. So why do we write poems and sing love songs and treasure every last drop of fading sunlight? It’s all in the details!

From the shape of the clouds to the moisture in the air, tiny variations work together to create a show of color and light as magnificent as it is unique! Orange and purple streaks. Dramatic rays of gold. Moody silver and navy blue. You just never know what Mother Nature has up her sleeve!

Scallop City Quilt Tutorial

On the tiny Italian island of Burano, each little house is painted a cheery shade of pink, orange, green…you name it! You can wander every canal and alleyway and not find a single speck of beige; the cityscape is one giant rainbow!

When James K. Polk ran for president in 1844, he promoted a new northern border for the Oregon Territory at the 54°40′ north line of latitude.

Jenny’s Doll Quilt

Most of us can recall a special quilt or two from childhood. A cherished baby blanket. The bedspread of your grandmother’s sleepover bed. A favorite camp quilt or picnic blanket.

And you know what? I bet if you sift through your memories, you can even remember a print or two of patchwork, the smell of the fabric, and the softness of a well worn binding. Because the truth is, when you make a quilt for a child, you are making memories.
