Road Trip Quilt

MSQC New Tutorial on the Blog!

I love Montana with her endless blue skies. Colorado with her majestic mountains peaks. The excitement of New York. The serenity of the Oregon Cost. And of course, there’s nothing like Missouri’s amber waves of grain!  From sea to shining sea, this country is made up of beautifully unique states.

This week Jenny is stitching up an adorable appliqué map quilt featuring 20 of her favorite states. Click HERE to learn how to make a Road Trip quilt of your own!

(This easy project is made using Valori Wells’ Murmur collection. Valori created these gorgeous prints by stamping fabric with blocks she carved herself!  Click HERE to learn more about process!)

Diamond Pavers Quilt

MSQC New Tutorial on the Blog!

The Diamond Pavers quilt was made for pretty prints. The blocks are so big and simple, patterns have plenty of space to breathe!

For this quilt, Jenny used Honey Run 10” Stackers by Jill Finley for Penny Rose Designs. It’s an adorable collection filled with bees, florals, and delicate geometrics. (Don’t miss the machine quilting on this one! It’s a bee-utiful honey bee stitch!)

Night Sky Quilt

There are 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and I’m starting to think there are just as many ways to stitch up a star quilt! 4-patch stars, wonky stars, wedge stars, rhombus stars—the list goes on and on!

This week Jenny is working on the easiest star block of all: Night Sky! This pattern is made up of simple half-square triangles, but it’s just as stunning as a whole host of heavenly sparklers! Click HERE to watch the tutorial!

Vintage Blossom Quilt

MSQC New Tutorial on the Blog!

During the 1920s, the Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt pattern took the quilting world by storm! No one could resist those charming little hexagons, but they sure were tricky to put together! Some quilters used English paper piecing; some used y-seams. But no matter the technique, this pattern required yards and yards of time and patience!

This week, Jenny is working on a quick and easy version using our half hexi template.
