Dream Weaver Quilt

Children are born with an untamed sense of creativity. Give a child a box of crayons and you may end up with flying giraffes or polka-dot elephants. They don’t care how it’s “supposed” to look; they draw what they like. But as we grow older, we start to worry about following the rules. For me, quilting is a wonderful way to get back to my creative roots. I love to take chances and try new colors and patterns.

Today’s new quilt is a fun jelly roll pattern, and while Jenny uses a beautiful jelly roll for her quilt, don’t be afraid to choose something different! Summer Camp Quilt

Many years ago, Jenny took her very first quilt class. Even though she was already an accomplished seamstress, quilting seemed a bit daunting. During that class, she learned how to make a log cabin. And when she realized how simple and versatile that little block can be, a fire was lit! Before the class finished, Jenny had completed 12 quilts – and she’s never stopped quilting!

Today’s new quilt is a fun variation of a log cabin quilt!

Jenny’s Bargello Quilt

In the heart of Florence, Italy, stands an 800-year-old palace. The Bargello Palace is now a museum that contains artistic masterpieces by Michelangelo, Donatello, and Cellini.

The palace also houses a set of 17th century chairs embroidered in colorful waves. For years, quilters have been stitching up intricate patterns inspired by those beautiful Bargello chairs, and today, you can too!
