In this week’s tutorial, Jenny is working on a tricky old block. Of course, with precuts and a few tips and tricks, you’ll have no trouble whipping up this pretty quilt!
It’s called Snail Trail, but those fantastic swirls remind me of ocean waves, whirligigs, or swirling tornadoes. This quilt is so full of movement and energy, no one would ever guess how easy it is to put together!
And! To make things even more easy-peasy, our team has put together an awesome, printable, PDF file that breaks down exactly how to cut up your 10″ squares! How great is that!? Click the Diagram above or below for the full print out!

Today we’re working on a Nine Patch on Point quilt, and – you guessed it – it’s just as easy as it is pretty! (Psst! Pay close attention, because the principles demonstrated in this tutorial will allow you to put almost any block “on point.”)
Jenny whips up 9-patches at lightning speed with strip sets made from a beautiful “Gingham Girls Rolie Polie” by Amy Smart. Add four extra seams, and you’ve got an easy peasy block on-point! Click HERE to watch the tutorial!
This week Jenny is adding a touch of fun to her already-fabulous Lattice Quilt with sweet little four-patches at every intersection.
And, she’s got new way to quickly construct quarter-square triangles! Click HERE to get the free downloadable PDF for the Checkered Lattice Quilt!

There truly is no place like home. At the end of a long, busy day, I love to crawl under the covers and snuggle up in the familiar coziness of my very own bed.
No matter how hectic it is outside, I always feel peaceful in my home. It’s not fancy, but it’s mine. Today’s new quilt, Flying Home, brings to mind the simple beauty of my very favorite safe haven: home.

Do you have a favorite diamond? There sure are some pretty ones out there, and with names to match! “Amarillo Starlight” is a colorless 16.37 carat diamond that was found by a visitor in Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas in 1972. Over in Australia, “Argyle Pink Jubilee” weighs in at 8.01 carats. And let’s not forget “The 26th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.” (No joke! That’s the actual name of a 343-carat yellow diamond mined in Yakutia, Russia!)
As for me, I prefer the little sparkler that was presented to me by my sweetheart so many years ago, but this week’s Simple Diamond Quilt comes in at a close 2nd! The Simple Diamond Quilt is just what it sounds like. Basic, timeless, and absolutely beautiful!
