Artfull Bras Project…..

Members of Quilters of South Carolina have created one-of-a-kind bras for Breast Cancer Awareness. The exhibit consists of forty-nine original works of art which are unique, entertaining, humorous, and beautiful to make the public aware of breast cancer, to memorialize those lost to the disease, and to honor survivors.

This exhibit will tour SC until Oct ’09 at which time individual Artfull Bras will be auctioned and the proceeds donated to the Best Chance Network, a program to provide care and treatment of uninsured women across the state who are diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer.

The bras come prepared for display on their own hangers and are available for exhibit across the state of South Carolina. The exhibit is available until October of 2009. Thanks Carolyn for sending this on to me. I pretty much laughed out loud when I saw this. I think it is a great way to show ‘support’ to women and maybe we can do something like this here in Hamilton someday! 🙂

My personal fave is probably the ‘hooters’ one or the ‘support your favorite boob’ one…..which one is your favorite??

New stuff….crazy stuff….our stuff…..

Hey all you people out there! So sorry to be neglecting the blogging like I have….I am working on it and am confident that I will completely impress you with all the crazy things we have been up to!!:)

Man life is crazy…. SO, the newest thing besides all of our classes and blocks of the month starting up is that Mom broke her leg!! I am serious. Yup, it is totally broken. So, we are all suffering from some major shock and reorganizing a few things, but all in all it will work out. Cause basically, that’s how we roll. We laugh, we cry, we get headaches (true), then we move on! 🙂

I really do have a million things I want to share with you, but it will have to wait a little longer. Big surprises coming up….so be patient and keep checking back. It’s gonna be big. For real.

No, seriously…I’m not kidding. BIG.

Friday night Sew….

The first Friday of the month is our late night sew….You can come in, bring any project you are working on, and a snack to share and sew as long as you want to!! We had over 10 ladies that came in and we had a blast! We didn’t get out of there, until after midnight! Woohoo! WE have some crazy quilters! If you haven’t yet, please come join us…..I promise you’ll have fun. (plus, these ladies KNOW how to party. The food was awesome!!)

I have lots of new things to share with you coming up in the shop….. Stay tuned.
