Behind the Scenes at Missouri Star: Meet Sara

Hi quilting friends! Today we want you to meet Sara. She works in shipping:

She’s so nice!! and always has a smile on her face. When I asked her what her favorite things were she said, “Margaritas and getting caught in the rain.”  She also loves the fabric selection at MSQC (who doesn’t, right?!) 😉 She left her old favorite fabric for  Boho by Urban Chiks for Moda. She also mentioned in passing that she has never made a quilt in her life! BUT she just got her first sewing machine three months ago. So what kind of quilt do you suggest Sara try as a first time quilter? We would love to hear!

The Retreat Center is almost done! Come see us and Celebrate!

It’s so close to being finished! Can you wait to see it?! The grand opening is October 4 and 5, and if you can swing a trip into Hamilton, MO, we would love to see you and let you tour the new place! Plus, it’s our birthday weekend, and the J.C. Penney Festival is going on in Hamilton that weekend too, so there will be lots of stuff to see and do. Here are some picture-ful updates:

Fabric in the Kid’s Corner

I love the children’s fabric at Missouri Star! I have only made a quilt once in my life (a baby one, for my son), but every time I see theses fabrics I think about making another quilt.
