Kindred Pinwheels

Learn a new way to create a pinwheel block!

I grew up loving Anne of Green Gables. Even now, Anne’s wisdom follows me wherever I go.

Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.”
“I went looking for my dreams outside of myself and discovered, it’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it.”

Jenny teaches a fun spin on the Pinwheel block!

Today’s new quilt, Kindred Pinwheels, is a beautiful pattern brought to life by Anne of Green Gables fabric by Riley Blake Designs. Click HERE to watch the tutorial!

We’ve got a super fun quilt to share with you today. It’s extra special because it happens to be one of Jenny’s very favorites. She even keeps a metal replica of this block on the wall of her sewing studio, so while it’s sometimes known as Sister’s Choice or Father’s Choice, we’re calling our version The Studio Star Quilt. (Yes! Another star quilt! You can never have too many of those!)

Here are a few quotes from Mary Fons that we love:

“When life as you know it is torn into a zillion pieces, it just makes sense to tear up fabric into a zillion pieces and then sew it back together again into organized blocks with a nice French-fold binding.” (Source)

“Once the quilt bug bit me, obsession set in.” (Source)
