Contribute for a chance to win a $25 MSQC gift card!

If you haven’t heard about the new Online Quilter’s Market be sure to read our last post.  To sum it up, it’s kind of like a blog of blogs, or a blog where anyone can contribute a post at anytime.  It’s a place where quilters can share ideas, knowledge, tips, tricks, patterns and projects.

To get the ball rollin’ we’re having a contest.  Anyone who contributes a post before midnight on August 26th is automatically entered into a draw to win a $25 MSQC gift card for the online shop.  All you have to do is participate to enter!

Furthermore, if you read the last post, you’re probably also aware that any post submitted also has a chance to earn a $5 MSQC gift card if it receives 20 votes.  You get a vote when someone (tell your friends to vote you up) reads and enjoys your post enough that they click the “vote” button (with the thumbs up icon on it).  In addition to the $5 gift card, the submission will also be featured on the MSQC Cutting Table blog and you will receive a “I was featured on the Cutting Table” badge that you can place on your blog if you have on.  If you don’t get a lot of votes on your first submission, don’t get discouraged, just try again!  You’ll soon get a feel for what the quilting community likes.

If you have a blog, this is a great way to funnel traffic your way, and you can easily set up your account so that your blog posts automatically get submitted to the Online Quilter’s Market.

Remember, you don’t have to have your own blog to participate.  Everyone is welcome!

Good luck and happy quilting!

Finding your site has been a blessing. I too, am a new quilter and you have such an amazing resource here. There are certainly other great sites, but I find myself coming back here time and time again for ideas, tutorials, supplies, and friendship. The formus are fantastic and I get such a sense of humor and joy from both Sarah & Jenny's videos and blogs – I leave here with a smile every time. Please keep up the amazing work and thanks to everyone who has reached out to us newbies in friendship and an honest desire to help us become the best quilters we can!

  • Mortonkarena

I love your tutorials. I just made my sister, who is recovering from surgery, a quilt from the tube quilting tutorial. It came out beautiful, if I do say so myself. Want to see it? I'm trying to figure out how to post the pictures…
The instructions were very clear, and Jenny makes them fun! I enjoy all the tutorials, and recently finished an easy pinwheel baby quilt, although it took me longer than an afternoon. I've only been learning to quilt for about a year and a half, but have learned a great deal from your tutorials.
Oh, and I check the deal of the day first thing each morning. These can be very dangerous!
    Keep up the good work.

What a wonderful concept. What a better way to get quilters “under one roof” that on the web!

  • Celia Ambrose

I made a baby quilt from the disappearing 9 patch tutorial and it turned out great. I just used my own stash, and colors that my customer wanted. I am going to make more with this pattern.

I may have made too many blocks, but my quilt finsished with borders at 46 1/2 by 46 1/2. Thanks for the great inspiration on your website and tutorials.
