Well we’re on our way home, we couldn’t make it another day. Too much quilting for our weak hearts! 😀 We had a blast and saw all we came to see so we’ll count this trip a huge success! I’ll try and finish sharing the photos I’ve snagged throughout, so here’s a few more –

Let me tell you about sample spree here at the International Quilt Market. The idea is that all the designers give away their upcoming fabric so people can get a jump on it and make some samples and get their customers excited about the fabrics and patterns so when it hits the stores, it will fly off the shelf. Well naturally they only have a limited amount of free deeply discounted and some free stuff to give away, so it creates a very ‘jungle law’ atmosphere among these otherwise very dignified people. 😀 Here’s a picture (a better one after the jump) of our loot from when we got back to the hotel, imagine what YOU would turn into if this was free available to whoever could claw their way to the front! Seriously right! 😀
Now I’m not joking, they will wait for hours in line so they can be first in the door and get the stuff they are looking for. Well we don’t take it quite so seriously, but we did have a blast running from booth to booth to collect goodies and thinking about all the possibilities!!
So take a look at the goodies we got, see if you spot anything you love! I can’t wait to show you everything in more detail, but grainy phone pics will have to suffice for now! 😀
The amazingness continues. I just met Eleanor Burns from the “Quilt in a Day” series! She is so sweet. I’ll tell you more about the new stuff tomorrow, but today is still just meeting people and learning learning learning
