I have quite the thing for table toppers! They are fast, easy and add so much to my house….with not a lot of effort! We made this cute little thing…..I call it basket full of sunshine. However the patterns true name is “Baskets of Blessings”. It is one of those great patterns that use only ONE charm pack. It is the perfect size for the middle of my table with a vase of flowers to go on top! This is a project you can make in a day. If that doesn’t cure the “wintry-gray sky-ready for spring or I’m gonna kill someone” blues, I don’t know what will! 🙂 Get the charm (we used basket of flowers by Mary Engelbreit) and the pattern in the shop! Quick, easy, cheap….AND straight to your door. Booyah! That’s just how we do it around here!
Or don’t. No biggie. I won’t be able to guarantee that you will get rid of the blues however. 🙂 Just saying.
Have a good one!
I just had to get a picture (or4) to show you how much fun we have at our Friday night sew!! We all get together, working on whatever project we need to finish and hang out. Eat. Tell jokes. Help each other. Eat. Have fun. Oh did I mention that we sew a little too. (and eat) 🙂 We all bring a snack to share and these ladies DO NOT disappoint!! We have had to ask for recipes for most of the things brought in! I am thinking we should publish the quilters Friday night sew recipe book!! Wouldn’t that be fun!??! Even Mom braved it…..She just wouldn’t stay home knowing we were all having fun. Anyway, I hope you are all crazy busy quilting. We have some great things coming down the pipe-line. (you know, that virtual-web-Internet pipeline) 🙂
Be good. (or be good at it)
While cruising around the wonderful Internet a while ago, I saw this cute runner that Camille did. (I know, I know….we aren’t on a first name basis…YET. But like Heather Bailey we are gonna be best friends. I am sure of it!!) 🙂 Anyway, I just knew I had to make one!! It looked simple enough for a Girl like me and so I …..well. Mom made it. She just can’t help herself. Having a broken leg and all, she is bored out of her mind. So, I let her make it for me!! 🙂 hahah. Seriously, Ladies…..this went to together SO fast and It is adorable!! I love it. It is perfect for a summer table!
It was also featured on the Moda Bakeshop, and I know you all love that place as much as I do….. (go there for the pattern and tutorial)
The Charm pack we used was ” Berry Delicious” by Moda, and some red ric rac. Fast, easy and inexpensive!! Plus you can get EVERYTHING you need to make it in our shop! Whoop, whoop!!
Have a great day!
I recently joined a Flickr group called “nothin’ but scraps“. The idea is to create quilts using only your scraps! Some of the quilts are just stunning like this Spiderweb quilt and this Coins quilt. I love love love them!!! Here is my work in progress….
I am currently in LOVE with half square triangles…and Pinwheels! SO cute!! So I just gathered bits of fabric from things we have made and started sewing…I am using 5″ squares to make the half square triangles. Aren’t they just so cute?!
I am going to sash them all in white!
I may or may not use them all…but, it sure will be cute when it is finished!
Have a lovely day,

Also, I wanted to add that this pattern is in the AWESOME ‘Bookazine’ as I’ve heard it referred to. Which by the way is the most amazing thing ever! It has WAY too many to count, patterns and projects. IT. Will. Knock. Your socks. OFF! (guaranteed!)
Anyway, the magazine I am talking about is the new Bags, Pillows and Pincushions issue from American Patchwork & Quilting……Really. IT is that good! Oh and we have them at the shop!! Come on in, Girls. and get your copy. Fast before they are gone!!
Okay, thats my little tid bit. Thanks for letting me but (t) in your post Misty…..
