I love this Irish Chain; watched the tutorial even though I have made a few of these but I love the colors on this one…it is beautiful!

  • Debbie P

Really, really dislike the pink background on the comments section. Can’t read it. Is it just me? Don’t think I’ve made any changes.

  • MissouriQuiltCo

Sorry Debbie, we upgraded and didn’t notice the change. I’ll have our computer guy take a peek and see if he can fix it

  • mortonkarena

Oh I’m so glad someone else is having difficulty with the pink background! I thought it was because I recently had to change to Google Chrome to get to the blog. The white on the pink background is hard on the eyes.

  • Debbie P

Thanks, hope I didn’t sound bitchy, that wasn’t my intention.

Okay, if we come in to see the quilt will Ron play an Irish Jig for us on the piano?

  • erin

What a fun tutorial. Thanks for sharing. However, I just got sucked into watching all the ones I had missed recently and I don’t know where the time went :)

  • Chris/WI

“BEAUTIFUL” quilt my kind of colors. If using bella solid snow then why does it look like a cream bkgrd? I can’t seem to to get into YouTube channel to be notified on new tutorials?

  • GabiP

Jenny, PLEASE, please, please do a simple/easy table runner that can be easily adapted for the holidays coming up. I am VERY new to quilting – in fact, watching you on YouTube is what got me started. Then I happened upon the Craftsy classes and purchased those as well – you are amazing! You make me feel like you are with me in my craft room. It would be even better if you could do from start to finish, but I am getting there. Please consider, I am a HUGE fan.

  • Sarah

Bella snow is a very creamy color with yellow undertones. Kona snow is very white. Hope this explains it. It’s hard to keep all the colors straight from different manufacturers! Hope you have a great day!

  • Sarah

Hahah! I know how that goes!!

  • Sarah

Hahah!! I am sure that could be arranged!! LOL! Sandy, you need to come see us soon! I have something for you! :)

  • Grammytheyeti

YIKES! Ouch on the eyes with the pink background. Now…
Adore this quilt! I’ve been searching for a pattern to make a long quilt (9 ft) for my 6’8″ son and I think this is it! Thanks!

Jenny, I have loved this quilt pattern for years but never made it. Thank you so much. I have the Bella snow jelly roll in my stash. How much yardage do I need to purchase for the big squares? Or do you use the jelly roll for that too? I am unsure as to how they are made. I am a VERY beginner quilter. It was your tutorials that got me going. Mary in NJ

  • Natalie

HI Mary, I would use about a yard and a half of solid fabric for the big squares. That should be plenty to get you started! They should measure about 6 1/2 inches square. But you will want to measure your nine patches and make your solid squares whatever size your nine patches are. I hope this helps!

  • Flo

What size are the white sashing pieces?

  • Darlene

Love the tutorial. Could not find the directions and the fabics used in print anywhere?
Would love to do this same exact quilt.
    Thanks
    Darlene

    Hi,MSC team,

I would like to see how a quilt would come together with using the irish chain, pin wheels and the wedding bands as the surounding edge and binding of the quilt. Jenny can you wave your magic over this one request? The newly wed couple I want to make this style quilt are very dyanmatic and they requested hot pink in their accent colour. I am currently very stumped on how to pull this together~!!! I would fly overseas from down under for a paid one on one, but my docs tell me I’m not allowed to fly. Jenny, Will this challenging teaching point meet your exacting standards to bring higher scholastic achievements to your world wide web of students??? I hope so because I am so stuck on this desigh………..Please help!!!
    Thank you in advance,
    Kind Regards,

Shar’ron (an addicted Missouri Star Quilt Co tute aholic).

    Victoria, Australia :-)
