Sweet baby Tumbler quilt!!

Lovely X’s and O’s! Simply beautiful! This one is Shirley’s favorite! (she told me!)

Last but not least is this amazing coins quilt! Aren’t the colors so soothing! LOVE it!

We have been spoiled by Shirley and her amazing work!  I so appreciate that you all take the time to send me your pictures so we can all enjoy what you’ve been sewing!  I really can’t think of anything more enjoyable than Show and tell!!

Just so you know, the kids all made it to school with very little trauma!  (I was even able to hold off tears, if you can believe that!)  It is strangely quiet at my house today, and I am hoping for some major productivity!  I even plan on baking some cookies made for the kids!  Hope you are all having a great week!  I’m looking forward to the weekend, ready for anything!!  :)

They are all gorgeous!   I especially love the X’s and O’s quilt.  Does anyone know the fabric line that she used for this one?
Thank you for sharing Shirley.  You did an amazing job on all of them.

    Hugs,

These are all spectacular, vibrant colors! I always watch the videos that are sooooo easy BUT how do we get WRITTEN instructions for some of the patterns? Are there patterns far ALL of the videos?

Hi everyone:  This is Shirley and I want to thank everyone for your very gracious and complimentary comments about my quilts that were featured by Sarah this week.  I have been a “sewer” for years, but recently started making quilt tops.  I have recently (May 2011) retired as a school librarian in Amarillo, Tx and can now spent my “free hours” sewing to my heart’s content.  I discovered Jenny & MSQ through an email inviting me to take Jenny’s first quilting class on-line.  My husband probably wishes I’d never enrolled because I’ve been sewing, sewing, sewing.  I have a friend who does my quilting and then I finish up with binding!   I really don’t make quilts much larger than lap size or baby/crib size.  The X’s and O’s quilt was featured in Jenny’s second video and can be seen displayed behind her.  It is made with Moda’s Wildflowers V charm pack (3) – I was able to find them on the Internet and got yardage locally for the large border.  The Lucky Stars is an Atkinson pattern and MSQ carried it.  I used Jenny’s idea of the binding tool to make the purple friendship braid and used a jelly roll of purple fabrics.    Then fence rail pattern was in a quilt pattern book that featured only 5 fabrics to make quilt.  So that’s it for now – happy sewing and quilting to everyone!  Will send more pics of other quilts as I finish them up!

Ooooh – thank you Shirley for the fabric line you used for the X’s and O’s.  I think I may have to keep my eye out for that fabric!!
You surely have been busy – I told my husband once that it’s better I be busy sewing and sewing and sewing than doing other things that may get me in trouble.  Haha!
Can’t wait to see future projects that you will make.   Hugs!!

Where can I find the pattern for the X’s and O’s quilt? I’ve seen and searched, but none so far that I’ve liked as much as Shirley’s. If the instructions were in one of Jenny’s videos-I’m not finding that either….although I think what you meant by it was ‘featured in her second video’–was that it was hung up in the background? Yes..No? Please please tell me where to find THIS pattern!!! I’d really like to make it for our wedding anniversary present to ourselves for our quilt-less bed!!
    Thank you in advance :)
