New Fabric Friday!!!

Happy Friday everyone!!

So it’s Memorial Day weekend, and since I have done it in a while, I thought we should have some fun facts.

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day, due to the decorating of graves, and was to honor and remember the soliders of the Civil War. It was not till after World War I that it included all soliders that served and died for our country.
The month of May was chosen due to May flowers.
Memorial Day was not officially Memorial Day until 1967.
In December 2000, Congress passed a law requiring all Americans to pause in remembrance at 3:00 pm.

This weekend I was driving past the farm store and there was a giant banner saying “Chick Days” and then when I got home I found two kittens! We had an idea, we get a bunch of calls from people trying to figure out what shade of a solid is the right fit for your project, and we’ve been thinking of how we can help you figure this out easier. So we had an idea, what if we took a photo of each yardage next to a black and a white bolt so you can tell what shade of the color is your going to get, sort of give you a point of reference. So we did a test run and wanted to see what you thought? If you like it, we’ll do it for all of them, what do you think?

Happy Friday!!

Since Easter is right around the corner, I thought I would include some fun facts:

The largest Easter egg ever made was over 25 feet high and weighed over 8,000 pounds. It was built out of marshmallow and supported by an internal steel frame.

The Easter bunny arrived in America with German immigrants in the 1700′s who brought an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” and children would build nests for the colored eggs. Eventually the Easter bunny would expand his deliveries to include chocolate, candy, and eggs and nests would become baskets.

The first White House Egg Roll began in 1878 with Rutherford B. Hayes.

After Halloween, Easter is the biggest best-selling candy holiday in America.

It’s Easter!!

I can hardly believe that it’s already Easter!! Time has flown by this year, but I guess when you’re having as much fun as we do here it happens. This time of year always makes me want a bunny rabbit! Just like this one, isn’t he just the cutest!!!.

But since the cutest bunny in the world isn’t in my future, I guess I’ll fill the void with those Reese’s eggs (yumm-o) and fabric.
