Projects: by YOU.

I just received an awesome email from Roxie.  She just wanted to show{off} her adorable table runner she made using one of our tutorials!!

I am a HUGE fan of the dresden plate and never get enough of the versatility they offer and how cool they look with ANY choice of fabric used!!

Check this out:

I just love the way the colors pop!  She used Make Life, by Sweetwater!  Didn’t it turn out great!?!?  Roxy says it looks perfect in her dining room, too!

Thanks for sharing your project with us!

Sarah

Ps.  If any of you have a project you’d like to share, email me pictures and we will put it on the blog for everyone to see!  sarah{AT}missouriquiltco{DOT}com

Sweethearts for you….

If you remember a while back we gave away thousands of ‘Sweethearts’ Charm packs by Benartex.  We FELL in-love with this line!  We have had several custom quilts that we’ve made for customers and sold even more than we thought possible!  🙂

Jenny (my Mama) just finished this beauty to show off our easy-breezy charm pack quilt pattern.  I just thought you’d like to see the fun-bright colors that are awaiting you in the pack of awesomeness!  (in case you haven’t opened yours yet!)

And if you’ve found yourself needing another we just got them back in stock!!!

Have you made anything out of your free one yet?  We would love to see pictures!  Tell us about it and upload them into the forums!!

Have a happy Monday!!  {and if you are living in one of the areas affected by the snow/ice stay safe and warm!!}

DIY Pillows. Yes, they made my week!

The other day (Tuesday, to be exact) Meg from Brassy Apple (love her) did a little tutorial on making pillows out of old  sweaters!  I couldn’t believe how cute they were, so I loaded up my Boy and went to the thrift store. {I was so confident that I could actually DO this!!}   I found three PERFECT sweaters, came home (washed them of course) and put these pillows together in less than 2 hours!!  I KNOW!  2 hours!  I am BEYOND proud of myself.  {and they match my living room perfectly!}

I have several other fun, cute easy things I am working on.  These pillows really made my week, though!  Sometimes I just get so caught up in my BIG projects that take (way) longer than 2 hours, it was just nice to start and finish something AND enjoy the result instantly!  So, yay for quick and easy projects!

This weekend I am going to tackle a few of the bigger ones, and don’t worry i’ll be posting more pictures as I get things crossed off that LIST of mine!  {is it just me, or does snow storms help with the whole ‘staying in and getting stuff done’ issue I sometimes have?}

Because I can’t help myself, here is one more picture of the pillows I made.  (yes, Mom…I made these all by myself!)

Have a wonderful weekend.  I hope you are able to create and do something fun!

MSQC hits the big time! We are on a Billboard!??! Pinch me.

It is  Un-imaginable!  But it’s true, ya’ll!  We have our VERY OWN billboard!  We didn’t even know how to do it, but the guys at adstruc were super nice (Thanks John!), and helped answer any questions we had as we found our billboard for a great price, and we figured why not, we’d try it! I honestly never thought we would have a billboard, but what a way to kick off 2011 🙂

If you are in rural Illinois and find the billboard, take a picture and send it over, I’d love to see more pics 🙂 As it was I was dying to see a picture….and look what I just got:

Quilters Daily Deal billboard

Now, lets be serious here for a minute…  I’d order packages everyday if they were delivered by that guy!  Right!??!  🙂  (just kidding)   kind of.

So, if you are driving in the car and happen to see this…Would you mind pulling off the road and getting a picture (with you in it, that would be lovely) I’d love to have a little feature…YOU and the billboard.  Doesn’t that sounds fabulous?

Anyway, what do you think?  Do you like it?
